Internet Marketing Specialist Job Description – What is an Internet Marketing Business Incubator and What Can it Do For You?

Internet Marketing Specialist Job Description

Internet Marketers starting out are generally individuals working from home or small home offices following their dreams to work for themselves and become financially independent.

They may have a day job, be unemployed, stay at home parents, students or just about anyone who has a dream to generate a passive source of income and be able to do what they want to do when they want to do it. Internet Marketing Specialist Job Description

The major issue for Internet Marketers is lack of resources whether that be:

1) Time to work on or learn the necessary skills to run their business,
2) Money to invest in website development and marketing requirements,
3) Internet marketing specialist software packages,
4) Planning and strategy knowledge and know-how to ensure the product or service they have chosen to create or promote has a large enough market potential to realize the projected ROI.

An Internet Marketing Business Incubator sets out to change the way the game is played for all Internet Marketers.

How Does It Work?

Lets be clear, an Internet Marketing Business Incubator is not a continuity program or a program that has monthly subscription fees, there are a lot of programs or system already available that people subscribe to and are granted access to certain methods, strategies and tools for these fees.

An Incubator is a safe community for birthing fresh, innovative new Internet Marketing Business Ideas. It provides access to software, business analysis, marketing expertise, skills training and even funding.

So who operates an incubator and what is in it for them? Typically an incubator will not ask for a monthly fee for participation but rather a different remuneration method to achieve their return on investment. This may vary from ownership equity positions in the business to a profit share arrangement for the life of the business or a set time period, or even a combination of both.

Depending on the amount of funding and time that is required to successfully evaluate and analyze the concept and develop marketing plans to create a sustainable business model or maintain operational funding; the Investment Model will change as will the amount of equity or profit share percentage and required payback period.

The Incubator will generally have a number of businesses they are working with simultaneously to develop new Internet Business Ideas so the incubator has an opportunity to cross-pollinate strategies and ideas to all these businesses.

This integral community of sharing serves to benefit not only the Incubators and their needs but the morphing and molding of these participating incubated businesses with the most innovative strategies and analysis horizontally as well. Internet Marketing Specialist Job Description

Micro Venture Capitalism

In some ways the incubator acts as a Seed Capitalist or Angel Investor or Venture Capitalists with a twist. It is Micro Venture Capitalism where both parties work together, with their commonly agreed goals in mind to achieve the set ROI in the defined time periods by utilizing the funding, software tools, embedded knowledge and a co-operative, entrepreneurial spirit.

The Internet Marketing Business Incubator goes beyond the general Joint Venture arrangements or Syndicates that enable internet marketers to utilize each other’s lists and to cross promote their products.

Why Join An Internet Marketing Business Incubator?

Access to a wide range of specialized software that may be too expensive for internet marketers to purchase individually but as per the licensing agreements of the software can be used in any online venture by the original purchaser if they have an interest that business.
Micro Venture Capitalism – funding to inject into the business to get it launched professionally to make the greatest impact and maximize success potential.
One on One Knowledge Transfer and Horizontal Market Creative Cross-Pollinization
Skill Training, Professional Business Acumen, Market Strategy and Analysis
Access to customer lists from both parties much like a JV partnership
Resource sharing – time, creativity, PLR products.

As all of the financial risk is typically borne by the Incubator and the participants share their innovative business ideas, a clear and detailed description of the business idea is required and both parties goals for revenue, profit, desired outcomes and trust are required.

Ultimately the goal of an Internet Marketing Business Incubator is to make the businesses capable of creating the passive income and profit desired and to enable bootstrapping of the business enabling future and continued operation, growth, income and everything this can provide. International Internet Marketing Association – Minimizing Internet Marketing Risks

International Internet Marketing Association

How well you understand internet marketing risks will make or break you.

Despite rumors of all of the easy internet riches that await the entrepreneur, instant millionaires and DOT-COM legends, there is also a genuine ugliness to the web. Unknown to newcomers, the internet is not safe, and to the unprepared it can be outright dangerous. As an analogy, let us consider a fictitious hero facing peril, escaping danger and winning the day in the end. It makes for an exciting story, but in reality we should stick with the “safe and boring. ” International Internet Marketing Association

People ARE out to get you on the internet. If you are not careful they can, and will, take your money and run. Deceit can come from both small and big internet businesses alike.

The first part of setting up any Internet marketing campaign is to sign a marketing agreement or contract. You will be legally bound to the terms and conditions of the agreement. If you are not careful, you may be legally bound to a disaster. Most importantly, do not risk more than you can afford to lose.

“During the start-up days of my company, a PPC marketing contract was created with a Tier 2 PPC search engine company. The contract reserved key-word based search engine traffic to the websites I was interested in marketing. Everything was laid out in black and white – or so I though. Unfortunately through purposeful trickery on the part of search engine, and my hastily signed marketing agreement, this search engine socked us for thousands of dollars of unplanned expenses. Buried within the contract, they claimed that it could over-deliverdouble the amount of web traffic indicated. One simple line stated Campaign $15,000 -double’. When my campaign came due at the end of the month, the bill was for $30,000. The salesman did not inform me that the campaign would be doubled, there was no definition or explanation of what ‘-double’ meant, and I did not look closely enough at the contract to notice or ask what it was there for. I of course refused to pay ‘double’ and they immediately threatened with legal action. It was a mess. “

You must carefully read and scrutinize every word of your contracts. If you don’t understand everything clearly, then have it cleared up before signing. Below are other fundamentals in minimizing the internet marketing risks embedded within a contract. International Internet Marketing Association

Minimizing Contract Obligation Risks:

Minimize Contract Duration – Approach every contract and agreement as if something could go wrong. Limit your risk and have a way out if things turn ugly. One critical step is to minimize the length of every contract. Most companies want you to sign a long-term agreement lasting 1-2 years. Don’t fall for it. Negotiate the shortest length of contract possible by asking for reduced obligation, such as 3 months or 6 months. If the campaign goes well, your vendor will be more than happy to renew, but if it does not you will need a quick way out.
Performance Based Services – One miracle of the internet is the allowance of “Performance-Based” marketing campaigns, where you only pay the advertiser when a sale or request is generated for you. Hence, you don’t pay unless you receive a business acquisition. Many internet marketing companies allow performance based marketing campaigns, so seek these companies out first. Purchasing internet media, such as impressions, emails distributed, sponsorships, etc. , are all a gamble and the odds are against you. There are exceptions of course, but wherever possible, implement campaigns where you pay only after you get what you want.
Minimize internet marketing risk by minimizing the campaign size – Every salesman will want a giant obligation from you. Don’t be oversold, you must understand that there is a good chance that any campaign can fail and you will need to minimize your financial risks and obligations. Approach every campaign as a “minimum sized test” and if all goes well then you can expand the campaign the next go-around. Why obligate you and your company for a large campaign, when a smaller campaign will do just as well? As your relationship and trust level grows, then you may consider a high-scaled commitment.
Sharing Marketing Resources – Not every company can or is willing to make the pre-payments necessary to launch a large marketing campaign. You may also find yourself in a situation where more leads or sales are coming in than you can handle. These issues can be resolved by finding a buddy. There are other companies out there just like you, doing the same thing and operating with a similar budget. Consider joining resources with another company or friend and launch a campaign cooperatively. Pool your resources and spread the costs and internet marketing risks. By working cooperatively, you can engage in internet marketing resources that would otherwise be unreachable.
Identifying Online Fraud – Fraud happens, and it is common. Fraud can range from a tiny and almost unnoticeable incident on through to a glaring unmistakable disaster. Fraud is prevalent when dealing with performance based campaigns, but it can happen with other internet marketing techniques as well. Learning to identify fraud before it becomes serious is vital. Fraud generally affects the sales lead industry more than the retail industry, but both are susceptible. Your first line of defense is through your website, where fraudulent activities can often be detected. For example, a performance-based sales lead generation campaign may receive a lead with a Texas phone number, a Colorado zip code and a reported State of residence as Georgia. Your website must be smart enough to detect these inaccuracies. International Internet Marketing Association

Ppc Search Engine Internet Marketing – How to Utilize PPC Search Engine Internet Advertising to Explode Your Business

Ppc Search Engine Internet Marketing

PPC search engine Internet advertising is a term that is talked about very often, in the field of Internet marketing. I would even go as far as saying, that this term is also one of the most misunderstood terms, in this field. Ppc Search Engine Internet Marketing

PPC search engine Internet advertising, is the process of paying search sites, like Google and others, to have your website highly ranked, within displayed search results. Your site ranking normally depends on how much funds you have decided to bid, for a key word, or key phase. If another advertiser bids more than you have bidden, then their advertisement will a appear above you website adds.

Using Google, as an example, the paid advertisements are normally shown at the right side of the website. Other search sites like Yahoo, and MSN paid advertisements, are displayed in the same manner. There are hundreds, or even thousands of sites like Google, available today on the Internet, to be used for PPC search engine Internet advertising.

An Alternative To Paid PPC Search Engine Internet Advertising – Free Strategy

One alternative, or free strategy used by Internet marketers, similar to PPC search engine Internet advertising, is a strategy called SEO, or search engine optimization. This is the process of optimizing your website, using key words, and key phase, in an attempt to have your website ranked high, free of charge, within the natural displayed results. Ppc Search Engine Internet Marketing

Natural search results, are normally shown in the center of the screen, search results. As mentioned earlier, you never have to pay for natural search results, only your time, when doing research, and writing keyword optimized articles. We all know that time is equivalent to finances though.

So many aspiring marketers have been scammed by persons promising them to optimize their websites for better search results. This is possible, but can take some time. Your website can consists of all kinds of popular keywords and will never show on the first page of Google, or other search networks, at least not for several months, or even years. This is because every site has a site ranking. If someone using one of the search engine keys the term “make money online”, into the search box, and your website is optimized with the same keyword, do you think you new website will be displayed? I guarantee you that you site will not be displayed, if it’s a new site, even though it would have been optimized. The reason being the rank, or popularity of your site. New websites will normally have a very low site ranking.

An Alternative To Low Site Ranking

SEO free strategy, as appose to paid PPC search engine Internet advertising, will work, if used correctly, even if your site has a very low ranking. The solution to low site ranking is to utilize the high site ranking of popular websites, using articles with links pointing back to your low ranking website. This technique is not new, and is being used today by successful marketers, and business owners, to let the world know about their product or services.

PPC search engine Internet advertising is good, but it will cost you finances if used the wrong way. A better, and free alternative is SEO, or search engine optimization, using the leverage of other high ranking websites. Ppc Search Engine Internet Marketing

Information Marketing on the Internet by Five Kings

Once upon a time, there was a kingdom ruled by five cool kings who reigned in peace and harmony. The kings, whose names are Salutation, Presentation, Consummation, Perseverance, and Enticement, live in a wilderness filled with wanderers, each one seeking the proverbial pot of gold.

The role of the kings is to guide these wanderers in their quest, because as the visitors get rich, so does the kingdom. The twist is that these monarchs do not live in a fairy-tale, but in a fact-based new book that shows current and would-be information marketers how to launch lucrative businesses on the Internet. So what’s the deal?

The kings’ story, says Robert Skrob, co-author with Bob Regnerus of “The Official Get Rich Guide to Information Marketing on the Internet,” is a parable. “The kingdom is actually a website, and the surrounding wilderness is the cyberspace,” Skrob says. “Every wanderer who passes by is a potential customer, and the kings represent the five steps of the marketing process. Just as they have to work together without getting in each other’s way, an info-marketer has to include all five steps in the marketing campaign, and follow these steps in proper order. “

Thus, King Salutation is the first to greet and welcome visitors to the kingdom. His job description, Skrob explains, is “to make people feel comfortable, and not frighten them away by asking too many questions. And, he doesn’t force the visitors to listen to the kingdom’s entire history, but, rather, describes it with a few choice words. “

Once the visitors ascertain that they have entered the kingdom that is right for them, Salutation helps them over the border and leaves them in the capable hands of his co-king, Presentation, the kingdom’s official tour guide. “He is a masterful speaker, capturing the imagination of his visitors,” Skrob explains.

“He also knows how to point uncertain visitors in the right direction, convincing them they can achieve all their get-rich goals right there in the kingdom. And, he can even motivate the visitors to remain in the kingdom with small gifts and other incentives. ” The visitor is then passed on to Consummation, who shows them how to exchange their gold for the objects they seek. He keeps the eager travelers – those who went through two previous kings, as well as those who impatiently scaled the wall to get directly to him – on the right track. “His job is to provide all the information the visitors need to successfully complete their journeys,”

Skrob notes. Perseverance’s job is more laid-back, but very important nonetheless: to follow the visitors who depart from the kingdom without leaving any of their gold behind, making sure they know they’re always welcome back. He keeps in touch with them with frequent messages and “knows how to be persistent without being a nuisance,” Skrob says. The fifth king, Enticement, has the most difficult job of all: he roams the wilderness looking for the specific kind of visitors who are most likely to be lured into the kingdom.

“These people may not know of the kingdom’s existence, so they wander aimlessly looking for someone to show them the way,” Skrob says. “So Enticement hires agents who search for wanderers the king wouldn’t be able to find by himself. These agents send the lost visitors back to the realm of five kings. ” This parable, which highlights the importance of a well-structured and focused website that attracts, rather than repels, visitors is featured in the book, released in September 2008 as a sequel to last year’s

“The Official Get Rich Guide to Information Marketing. ” “Both books feature profiles of people who became extraordinarily successful on the Internet,” says Skrob, president of the Tallahassee, FL-based Information Marketing Association. “When you use a website to market your product, you can make sales anywhere, at any time, without lifting a finger. There’s no question that, for any info-marketer, Internet is a great way to make lots of money. ” And, once info-marketers follow the five kings, they will all live happily ever after.
